What inspired me to paint this?

In the winter months my husband and I often go camping for the weekend at Pardoo Station - which is roughly one and a half hours drive north of Port Hedland.  The tidal range is about nine metres and even on a high tide the waters are shallow.  It was paddeling in the water while fishing that I got this idea.  I once read in a National Geographic photographer's blog that when you are out and about, always remember to look behind you, sometimes that provides the best views. So that's how I came up with the idea for this painting. The water is shallow and calm, leaving these beautiful turquoise ripples floating around my knees, making their way gently to the shore. The original artwork was sold to a private buyer in my 2016 Solo Exhibition.
